2019 SSAO Meeting

Hello! Thank you for your interest in attending the annual ISPA Senior Student Affairs Officer (SSAO) Meeting. Our goal is to offer a space for the two or three top/senior student affairs professionals from each institution to come together for a day of guided discussion and networking. The meeting will be held in Grinnell, IA at Grinnell College on February 1, 2019. It will be a day-long event, running from 9:00am to 4pm. There is a registration fee of $35/person that covers refreshments and lunch. Please respond by January 14 at noon if you plan on attending.

We will spend most of the day in discussion on the following topics (based on topics submitted by all of you earlier this fall)

9:00-9:30am - Check in and continental breakfast

9:30am-9:45am - Introductions and Information

9:45-10:45am - Topic #1: Title IX policy, protocol, and anticipated updates

10:45am-11:45am - Topic #2: Emotional Support Animals (policies, practices, etc)

11:45am-12:45pm - Lunch (gather by topics if interested)

12:45-1:30pm - Topic #3: Managing disruptions/encouraging civil discourse, how to find a good balance

1:30-2:15pm - Topic #4: Student Healthcare, mental health, and insurance

2:15-2:45pm - Topic #5: Assessment, Data, and Metrics

2:45-3:15pm - Topic #6: Maximizing resources/budget

3:15-4:00pm - One burning question time - what is one thing you are looking for an answer to advice on?
